'We Are Sincil Bank' Photography Project

Updated: Sep 26, 2022

Sincil Bank Community Partnership has launched a project inviting local residents to share their experiences of lockdown through photography.

Although at the moment the community cannot come together in the ways it would usually do, the 'We Are Sincil Bank' project provides an opportunity for people to stay connected while social distancing and to create a visual record of this unique moment in history.

'We Are Sincil Bank' enables individuals to share images that reflect their day to day experience of self-isolation; this could be some of the many incredible examples of community spirit that are happening in the area, or what people have noticed about the place or their home during this time.

Photographs can be taken on either on a phone or using a camera and the ambition is to eventually exhibit of a selection of these images to celebrate and reflect on the stories that were shared.

How To Take Part

1. ‘Like’ We Are Sincil Bank on Facebook and/or follow on Instragram at ‘We Are Sincil Bank’ and encourage friends and neighbours in the area to do the same.

2. Each week a different photographic theme will be posted on social media. Respond to this theme with as many images as you like and either share them directly to the Facebook page or upload them to Instagram with the hashtags #wearesincilbank and #Sincilbanklockdown

3. If you are not on social media you can email the images directly to: Rachel.a.taylor@lincoln.gov.uk

4. Finally, if you want to share a photograph of a friend or family member, please make sure you have asked for their permission before you do so.

Happy snapping!
